Yes. Browser-based transcription using Whisper AI runs entirely in your browser — no servers, no account, no time limit. It will always be free.
What's the difference between browser and cloud?
Browser mode runs the Whisper model locally in your browser — private but slower (1–5 min per file). Cloud mode sends the audio to our cloud AI — up to 30× faster, with 100+ languages.
Is cloud transcription really unlimited?
Yes. Starter includes unlimited cloud transcription — no monthly hour caps. Browser transcription is also unlimited on every plan, including Free.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your account page. You keep access until the end of your billing period, then revert to the free tier.
Do you store my audio files?
In browser mode, your files never leave your device. In cloud mode, audio is sent to our transcription provider for processing and is not stored after.
Is there a free trial for Starter?
We don't currently offer a free trial, but the browser tier gives you a full feel for the editor and export features. Cloud transcription and audio cleanup are the only things behind a paywall.
